Description
🔴 🎾 Red Ball Program
Recommended Age: 4–8 years
Group Size: 4–6 players per group, depending on age and level
The Red Ball Program is the first stage of the tennis journey for young children. It is designed for beginners and younger players learning the basics of tennis in a fun, safe, and age-appropriate environment.
Red balls are slower and bounce lower than regular tennis balls, allowing children to control the ball more easily, develop confidence, and enjoy longer rallies. Training is usually conducted on a smaller court with suitable racket sizes to help children learn movement, coordination, balance, and basic tennis techniques.
This stage helps children build a solid foundation from an early age while enjoying the game in a fun, positive atmosphere.
🟠 🎾 Orange Ball Program
Recommended Age: 8–10 years
Group Size: 4–6 players per group, depending on age and level
The Orange Ball Program is the next stage after Red Ball. It is suitable for children who have developed basic tennis skills and are ready to play on a larger court with slightly faster balls.
Orange balls are still slower than regular yellow balls, giving players enough time to improve their timing, footwork, shot control, and rally consistency. At this stage, players begin to understand simple tactics, serving, scoring, and match play.
This program helps young players progress gradually while preparing them for more advanced tennis development.
🟢 🎾 Green Ball Program
Recommended Age: 9–10 years for advanced juniors
Group Size: 4–6 players per group, depending on level and ability
The Green Ball Program is designed for advanced young players who are preparing to transition to full-court tennis. Green balls are closer to regular tennis balls but still slightly slower, allowing players to continue improving their technique, control, and confidence.
Players at this stage train on a full-size court and focus on developing more complete tennis skills, including rallying, serving, match tactics, movement, and competitive play.
This level is ideal for juniors who have already built a strong foundation and are ready for a more challenging training environment.
🟡 🎾 Yellow Ball Program
Recommended Age: 11 years and above, or players approved by the technical team
Group Size: 4–6 players per group, depending on level and ability
The Yellow Ball Program is for players who are ready to train with standard tennis balls on a full-size court. This stage is suitable for older juniors and advanced players who have developed proper technique, control, and movement.
Training with yellow balls focuses on complete tennis development, including advanced strokes, serving, match strategy, fitness, consistency, and competitive performance.
Players are moved to this level based on their age, ability, confidence, and assessment by the Champs technical team.
🎾 Player Placement Note
Player placement in the Red, Orange, Green, or Yellow Ball Program is based on the child’s age, tennis ability, confidence, coordination, and movement, as well as a technical assessment by the Champs Tennis Center coaching team.
While each ball color follows an age-appropriate development pathway, some players may progress faster or may require more time at a specific stage. Our technical team will ensure that every child is placed in the most suitable group to support safe, enjoyable, and effective tennis development.
